How thankful I am for freedom... We had a quiet and laid-back holiday this year, and it was just right.


4th of July is:

* the smell of sunscreen and bug spray

* piles of watermelon slices

* lazy afternoons with friends

* listening to and smelling the whole neighborhood grilling

* the best brownies I have EVER made!

* lawn chairs

* watching the boys play with sparklers and poppers

* being so close to the fireworks you have to lay down to watch them and can feel the finales in your chest

 What a wonderful day we had! Happy 4th, dear friends!
